Sonya had a vision for her wedding (what girl doesn’t?) and Nick was very adamant in making sure that vision came true for Sonya (sigh!)
The day started with the warm sun shining as hair and make up came together for the girls. Nick and Sonya wanted to incorporate “first look” photos as they had evening ceremony planned and didn’t want guests waiting. I love first look moments. A great way to capture emotion and have a little time for yourselves if you are having photos done prior to the ceremony.
Next we continued on to family photos and beach photos for the wedding party. The wind picked up and the clouds let out droplets of rain so they took cover in limo to wait it out and we were lucky to get some more photos in before the rain came down. But the rain put a damper on their outdoor ceremony. 🙁 But Nick was persistant in making sure Sonya had her dream outdoor ceremony and sure enough a half hour later, the sky cleared enough to allow it to happen.
As they sealed their vows with a kiss a clap of thunder occurred and more droplets tumbled down. The best part of this though, was the rainbow that appeared shortly after and we took advantage!
Never have I photographed a wedding with so many weather elements in one day! It was an awesome day!
