I had the privilege of photographing one of the best days in my wedding career to date. It was an amazing wedding with a wonderful bride and groom, Ingrid and Peter, their two daughters, and eight of their closest friends. This is their story and how we became connected.
Captain Perry Gotell of Tranquility Cove Adventures first contacted me to offer wedding photography to his clients. I was excited about the idea as it was something new and different that I haven’t yet explored on PEI. I’ve always been one to be drawn to uniqueness. This was definitely unique! I spoke with Peter and Ingrid via phone and we hit it off! I understood their vision and importance of their wedding to them. I referred them onto Brandi of Simplicity Wedding & Event Coordination who took care of details that made their day even more special!
Peter, Ingrid, their girls, and their friends were all so remarkable. They were very welcoming upon my arrival at Eagles Perch Beach House where the wedding group was having the events of hair, make-up, and getting ready occurring. The view was amazing!
After everyone was in the very best, we heading off to Georgetown to meet Captain Perry Gotell and sail with him and his crew to a remote beach to host the wedding ceremony. The short period of rain did not damper the day at all! Peter and Ingrid say, “Tranquility Cove was the inspiration for our wedding. Perry Gotell and his crew offered a unique wedding experience that we were happy to be the first to enjoy. Perry’s boat is spotless and the friendly atmosphere that he creates makes you feel like family. From the moment we stepped on the boat it felt like all of the stress leading up to that point just faded away. How more romantic can you get than being ferried over to a deserted island to get married on the beach..”
It was time to board Tranquility Coves Adventures boat again and sail up the rivers for a relaxing time together.
Once the ceremony and tour finished we all headed back to Eagles Perch Beach House for a beautifully decorated tent reception on the beach filled with local musicians and amazing food prepared by Chef Ilona Daniel.
Wedding festivities carried on into the late evening.
A fantastic day spent with friends and family! A wonderful wedding to capture!
“Cheryl was a key part of our day. She was referred to us by way of Perry and we feel that our day would not have been complete without her there with us. From the first moment that we spoke with Cheryl she knew exactly what we were looking for and was able to capture the spirit of day.” – Peter and Ingrid
